Thesis statement to date, again
Manic depression, also known as Bipolar disorder is one of the most common seen mental illness in our society. However, the society appears to ignore the fact that there are 20.9 million people who are actually suffering from the clinical disorder and being discriminated and labeled as “crazy”, “having weaker wills” because of the weak understandings and omnipresent prejudices toward this issue. When it comes to understand the real syndromes and problems the word “bipolar” represents, very few people have correct basic understandings. I believe the lack of interest to understand this issue generate discriminating behaviors and rigid attitude around our society and make lives of people, who suffer from bipolar syndromes, even more difficult to cope with. As “mental” illness, bipolar disorder is not as visually recognizable as physical disability. My thesis is about boost people’s interests and understandings toward this issue.
