After !st Presentation

I did my presentation last Tuesday. It went ok but I found myself stuck in the middle of two directions. One is my curiosity toward the correlations between emotions and mind performance, which is more like an interactive project(not necessarily, but seems more incline to that side) for now. Another is the original direction of provoking people's interpretation of how much attention should mental illness gain.(for now its for bipolar syndromes/prodromes). Both have some unsolved problems.
while I am thinking and searching for this, I found these two kool narrative projects. One is a short film made by Chris Milk
Another is a motion graphic piece from Pleix Film
The first one is an example how narrative can translate and amplify the strength of a common feeling inherent in us. By visualizing the abstract feelings into a visual piece, it definitely made the statement of that feeling a lot stronger and more eyeballs catching/visually compelling. The difference is that it was not the director's intention to deliver more information than that, so the piece doesn't have too much information. However, how an abstract topic can be empowered is perfectly shown in this piece.

The second piece definitely has more to say about the issue it touches on. The interesting thing about watching this piece is that it actually does what I want to achieve: provoke people. By showing different episodes the director gradually showing his perspective toward plastic surgery and social ideology of it to the audience. However, although he choose a relatively controversial approach to make the concept has more impact, the issue itself is actually not as controversial as the narrative strategy.
